Det är ju alltid inne att klaga på Microsoft
Är det inte Vista så är det XP, Mac är så mycket bättre etc. etc. Men köp en Mac då!
Diskussioner som denna påminner mycket om PC vs konsol som sker i nästan varje nyhetstråd. Vissa gillar Vista, andra inte, vissa gillar konsol, andra inte. Finns ingen som har rätt eller fel om vad som är "bäst", det handlar bara om smak.
Hur som helst, back on topic. Ska försöka mig på den där 64bit fixen som nämnts.

Hur får ni det att funka i 64 bit? Har testat en massa saker men får det inte att funkar =/
For 64-bit Vista this should work too:
-Make a new directory in which you want to install Red Alert
-Copy the contents of the "INSTALL" folder on the RA CD to that directory
-Add the files of the RA 3.03 patch (see bondmaster´s' post ^ )
-delete "RA95.LCF", and then rename "_RA95.LCF" to "RA95.LCF"
-Add the network play patch (http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design. com/cncstuff/ra_v303_lanpatch_1_00.zip)
-Run Red Alert
It's not advised to do this if you can install normally (with Compatibility mode) though, since this way Red Alert will NOT have any registry items.
Spelet frågade efter skivan så se till att ha nåt img-program (vad det nu heter) som typ Power ISO eller nåt liknande. Mounta skivan och starta spelet efter att du har "installerat" som i instruktionerna här över.
Hur får ni det att funka i 64 bit? Har testat en massa saker men får det inte att funkar =/

Fick det att funka nu med ljud. men hittar ingenstans man kan fixa så det blir window mode..

Bra att spelet ens går att starta. Poppar upp en ruta angående Audio, klickar på Ok, hela rutan blir svart och sen så händer inget.
Herregud vad patetiskt. Nu kan jag inte ens avinstallera det. Kommer aldrig ladda ner något "old school" och gratis ifrån EA igen.
Låter som du är lättirriterad. Det går ju alltid att avinstallera om inte automatiskt så manuellt.
Sedan problemet med "audio och svart skärm" får du nog förklara bättre om du vill ha hjälp.

Fully integrated Westwood Online Chat system into Red Alert. No more loading a separate application (Westwood Chat). The button for internet play takes you to an area similar to a network multiplayer game with options for going to different areas like in Westwood Chat. This system requires the use of the Westwood Beta Testing server which has apparently been taken down although there have been occasional reports of it being available again.
Rankings of players are displayed next to their name for either the Red Alert or Aftermath tournament system. This makes it easier to find a player of your ability to play against.
Improved disconnect statistics (to try and catch out those players who cheat by pulling the plug when they are losing).
Other behind the scenes tournament features to help rank the best players.
4 player Red Alert games are now possible over the internet! Play 2 v 2 or play a free for all. It's up to you.
Tournament games will probably only be for 1 on 1 games. For more than 2 players you have to play a 'friendly' game
A couple of cool things have been added to the actual game as well. Some of the audio, explosions and graphics have been improved to better represent what is going on and be a little more realistic. For instance, the grenadier explosions used to create lots of fire, etc. Now, they produce a loud bang, and a small explosion graphic (which is a more accurate representation).
Explosions over water no longer produce a large ball of fire, but instead, a new "water explosion" (I thought this was included in Aftermath but I could be wrong)
You can use certain sound effects in the Chat room to emphasise what you are saying. (Anyone who has used ICQ chat sessions will know what I mean! )
'Typing "/8playergames" allows you to create 8 player games when using the 4 player patch! Although lag would be high in most cases, I actually fought in a full speed 8 player game!'
